Andy Black @ The Opera House

This was my first time shooting a show at The Opera House where there was a photo pit. And it was lovely. All three artists who performed this evening were engaging, and downright fun to photograph. A special shout-out goes to local rockers Palaye Royale, who I wasn't familiar with, but enjoyed immensely. As some icing to an already exceptionally lovely cake, Andy Black posted one of my photos ... with credit! (EDIT: as of Oct 29, the post officially has 127k likes on his Ins

Kina Grannis @ The Mod Club

Prior to her set at Toronto’s Mod Club Theatre, the ”Tour Archive” page on Kina Grannis’ website lists a handful of 2015 shows from cities across Asia – Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila – all of which never actually happened. And so with hearty e

    Lukas Graham @ REBEL

Danish pop/soul band, Lukas Graham, played one of my favourite sets at SXSW 2016. Since then, they have released their debut, self-titled album in North America, and even garnered a few Grammy nominations. It was a pleasure not only photographing and reviewing this set... but also dancing all night long. Opener, Hein Cooper, was also a great performer. I'll be keeping an eye on him as he continues to release more music. Check out my photos & review over at Live in Limbo. Luka

    ONE OK ROCK @ REBEL

Japanese rock band, ONE OK ROCK, are plotting their course through North American waters. The band, which signed to pop punk label Fueled By Ramen late last year, and recently toured alongside the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer and Yellowcard, seem to be making all the right moves. It's especially exciting for me to see Asian musicians featured in Western music culture. These guys were a ton of phone to watch, and even more fun to photograph. I'll be keeping my eye on them, and

    My 1 Year Cameraversary

On this date, in the year 2015, a very special someone came into my life - my camera. I've been a music lover for as long as I can remember, and would occasionally document my constant concert-going with my cellphone or point-and-shoot. However, one year ago, I decided to take advantage of my Canon employee discount and make a proper foray into the world of concert photography. Since then, my camera and I have chronicled many musical adventures. To be exact: 421 different set
