Vanessa Carlton's 'A Thousand Miles' is a staple in beginner pop piano repertoire.
At the time of it's release, Carlton was only 22 years old. Now, at the age of 37, she is still reaping the benefits of its legacy. But, as proven during her set at The Great Hall, her musicianship has continued to grow.
Many artists who have an exceptionally popular single refuse to play it live. However, Carlton has found a different strategy - she performed 'A Thousand Miles' at the very beginning of her set, saving us all from any insolent hecklers who might find job in yelling out to request it throughout the set.
Carlton played an exceptional set; you can see the full photo set over at Live In Limbo.
