The Mystery Lights were one of my new discoveries during SXSW, so when I found out they were coming to Toronto, I decided to check out their show once more.
This was my first time shooting at The Silver Dollar Room, and the lights proved very difficult at this one! Fortunately, the space was not too cramped, so I had the luxury of movement, but the majority of my pictures were converted to black and white due to the poor lighting conditions.
The Mystery Lights are known for their dynamic stage presence - complete with a lot of jumping! During their SXSW show, I was unsuccessful in capturing a proper jump shot, so I was hoping to redeem myself here ... but the lack of lighting meant that I was once again unable to capture one. Looks like I need to go to their show again the next time they're in town!
